Hi!

Post by 6MT » Sun Dec 29, 2019 10:11 pm

Hello from Western Canada. Long time Henry owner here. My first was a Frontier in.22WMR. I bought my second as a Christmas present on Christmas Eve. It's a Big Boy Steel in .44 magnum.

I shot its first 100 rounds today to garner some brass to load. Sights are dead on. Took it out to 200m and even with my old eyes, I was plinking steel 7 out of 10 shots at the long distance. Looking forward to loading some 240gr XTP's with H110.

Great to find this forum!

Welcome, 6MT. Your first range time with the new Henry .44 BBS is impressive -- 7/10 steel clangs at 200 meters. Curious, did you shoot with the iron buckhorns? That makes your range report even better!

Enjoy the HRF.

Yes, the original sights. I shot off a bench and used my range bag as a front rest. From 100m to 200m, I raised the rear sight one notch.
