Fun at the range today with my son!

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Dec 15, 2019 8:29 pm

Had a great afternoon down at the range with my son who doesn't get to shoot as often as he would like.
He had a blast with my HiPoint .45 carbine and I got to get the dust off of my sweet S&W M66 a classic made in 1976.
A wonderful day in December with some great 57 degree weather!

A couple nice groups out of the SW 66 with my 158 gr. "FBI" loads using 6.0 gr. of Power Pistol in a .38 Special +P case.
Later I shot some entry level .357 Mag loads using 125 gr. Xtreme plated bullets and 7 gr. Unique.

Yes...230 gr. plated by Xtreme and loads were either 6 gr. of Unique or 7 gr. Power Pistol. The carbine gives me a better grouping with the Unique load.

Thanks! My son had some catching up to do with his Glock 32,Sig P365 and his 1911.
With his work and keeping up with kids ages 8-20 he stays busy but we do try and have a great time when shooting!

Outstanding video, thanks for sharing. These are the memories that our kids take with them long after we are gone. Great Day at the Range !

(P.S. being from Arizona, what is that white stuff on the ground? )

Well could be the sun reflecting off some wet areas of the grass since we had some rain the day before and I had a tarp laid out closer up to the sand berm to catch the .45 brass.

Roger that, I thought you may have had some of that legendary "Snow" we hear about.
