new lamps

Post by dave77 » Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:49 am

My best friend and I have both been looking at this $200 Tiffany style dragonfly lamp at Fred Myer for several months but haven't wanted to spend that much right now.

I stopped by tonight for a couple of things and was close so went over to look at it. It was marked with a sale price of $94.99 but there was also a sign there saying all lamps are 40% off. I figured it wouldn't apply to the lamp since it was already on sale but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask and 2 employees that happened by said yes it would apply so I ended up paying $50 including sales tax.

I was intending to give it to my friend and had loaded it and my groceries into my truck when I thought for that price I really should get one for myself so went back in and got another one.

So, I have mine set up and texted her to stop by after work to look at something. I'll ask her how she likes my new lamp and after she yells at me for a bit I'll tell her to go look behind my computer desk.๐Ÿ™€๐Ÿ˜ธ (She won't really yell at me but will be asking why didn't I pick one up for her)

That's really nice. Cathy would flip over something like that.

My wife loves dragon flies, I bought her a silver necklace one year for christmas that was a hit. Later I found earrings to match for her birthday. She would love that laml.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

My friend was not happy when I told her I had bought the last dragonfly lamp, I didn't wait very long to tell her to look behind the desk.๐Ÿ˜ธ

My friend also loves dragonflys. Last year I decided I wanted a couple of tattoos, so I ended up giving her a gift certificate for one on her birthday and she got a dragonfly on her shoulder.

Tattoos can be addicting, I was only going to get a couple and now I have around 20.
