My GF family picture

Post by bandit1250 » Mon Dec 09, 2019 7:54 pm

Had all four Grand Finales out of the safe at one time and decided it was a good time to picture them all at once. Here is a picture of all four but the pictures on my camera seem to not be as good lately. I did drop my camera in the woods one day so maybe something is out of whack now. From the left to right was the order they were bought in.

The only difference in the four would maybe be an ounce or two in trigger pull. :) They are all from the 1000 Model 452 GF rifles made at the end of the 452 series. From left to right. Left is the first one I bought. Second in is the one I bought for my wife's birthday in Sept. Third was taking a shot at getting one with nicer wood . That one will be hunted with later in season. Last is the nice one my friend sold to me because he said it was to nice for him to keep and beat it up. Members here probably think I am nuts having four. I decided when I liquidated a bunch of Marlin 39A's I would buy something with the money I like a whole lot better and this was it. Having these makes me not miss the Marlin's or the money at all and I still have some 39A's to shoot. Plan on selling a few more soon. These GF's someday will be handed down but in the meantime my wife and I plan to send plenty of ammo down range. She won't shoot much until warm weather returns. I will honestly say I feel very fortunate to have had guns I was ready to thin out while the GF's were still available. So much more accuracy and better triggers than the lever guns I sold. The levers have their place with me and I still like them but not as much as my bolt rifles.
