OK - youse guyz have my interest piqued on this show.
Do you recommend I start at episode #1 or any particular season to get the 'gist' of it?

I recommend Season 1, Episode 1 .... it gives the base for the series and it sets the tone .... it would be better to take the time to look at the entire first season .... each episode builds toward the next

call it my hearing, call it having very little aptitude for understanding most foreign accents, I don't know about anyone else but I have trouble understanding much of the dialogue in Outlander .... figuring out how to turn "Close Captioning" on has really has made watching the program more enjoyable

Only two episodes in and my sentiments exactly!
I had to listen carefully and even then missed a few words but managed to 'get the picture' !

I'm two episodes into season three and am as enthusiastic about Outlander as I was after watching the first episode. I love this series and luckily don't have any difficulty understanding the dialogue.

Not that it's necessarily related, I got hearing aids about six months ago that feature a bluetooth connection to the TV audio. It's made a huge difference in my viewing pleasure. I used to need closed captioning all the time; now I never do. And, I think Paige, my cat, is happier, too, not having to listen to that infernal device along with me.

You're not alone. Close captioning is a good idea!

Tease, for sure! We're so early in, I didn't know if they would ever have a reunion...learn something you didn't want to know every day. :) NP though.

The reunion was predicted at the end of season two, so I was prepared for another trip through the stone. I'm not at all prepared for whatever "Jamie's reaction" will be like ...other than the aging they'll both have gone through, what could that possibly be? I guess I'll know soon enough. I have nothing better to do for the next few days. A storm is coming to CT tomorrow that may last into Tuesday morning.

Sorry for the spoilers, Mark. You're right. Steer clear for awhile. You'll enjoy it more without them.

My reaction was "delighted", especially watching his face as he heard her before seeing her. For a man who had had his experiences, his reaction was surprising and laughable, but I "ken" it. ;)

I got a kick out of her expression as well .... the entire cast is exceptional .... not a weak actor in the bunch
