Shooting buddy in Shasta, said the snow dump they got left 2 feet of accumulation. 0 to 2ft was like a blizzard/whiteout at the time.

Strange indeed, Wednesday was all wet snow and wind, Thanksgiving day was calm but overcast, and now today is wet snow and wind.
Like we got a one day reprieve to give thanks, and we surely did. Had a house full and everyone brought food.

We sat down to snacks at 2 in the afternoon and by 6 were into the turkey, dressing, scalloped corn, candied yams, green bean casserole, (Yuck),
mashed potatoes, gravy, hot rolls and then pumpkin and cherry rhubarb pie.

Went for a walk down the drive in the woods and then ate some more. By 8 everyone was on the way home except for the youngest
Grandson who spend the night and we dropped off with his other Grandparents on Friday.

God was good to us and my Wife's prayer at dinner surely did him justice, (while the food got cold). Oh well, she cooked most of it.

We all sit a very old dining table that my Mother purchased from Montgomery Ward in 1946. I have many memories of long gone family
members eating at that table and now I am the eldest.

One of the snacks that they brought was an acorn candy. They took Hershey Kisses, melted the bottom just enough to attach a small
vanilla wafer, and then on the other side of the wafer a chocolate chip. They were good. Kinda like eating popcorn.

Well, off to plow snow again.

30 and overcast, supposed to rain most of the day with possible snow tonight. The 50 mph winds Wednesday blew most of the remaining leaves down and mostly away. Was going to the range today but don't feel like dealing with the rain. Will be a good day to start going through things in my shop deciding what to discard and what I can't bear to throw out yet. Going to take down the lights and the partitions that was my jewelry store to get back about a third of my shop so I can have room to work in there again. Planning to get it done this winter, very hard to get started because I don't really know where to start. Just dig in and see where it takes me I guess. :?

Finally warming up. 28F now....huge improvement. Might go shoot tomorrow.

Well maybe not....just saw this:

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.

Strong localized winds are expected to develop in wind-prone areas this evening, and cause blowing snow. The winds and blowing snow are expected to strengthen and become more widespread Sunday afternoon. The blowing snow is expected to end on Monday afternoon.
