Re: Ruger .44 Special Flattop Bisley-Review
nice review, I don't see many on 44 Specials .... years ago I owned a Blackhawk 44 Mag .... I found your review to pretty much match my memories .... with 44 Special loads it was fun to fire but with magnum loads it was an entirely different animal .... heavy recoil and barrel jump changed its personality into one I soon parted company with ....

Yes, I traded the SBH on my first 629 and never looked back. Now this .44 Special Bisley, on the other hand, has some potential!JEBar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2019 9:35 amnice review, I don't see many on 44 Specials .... years ago I owned a Blackhawk 44 Mag .... Very nice video!
I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag with 5 1/2" barrel. I load and shoot a lot of "Skeeter" loads through it. Good accurate load.
Thanks for posting.

Re: Ruger .44 Special Flattop Bisley-Review
Great review! I have the Flattop Bisley .44 also and so far it is a nice little shooter with my 240 gr. Keith style SWC loaded over 7.0 gr. Unique.
Now the grand ol' .44 Mag SBH with 7.5 barrel is my go to revolver for shooting at longer distance with my .44 Mag loads.

Nice photo and good shooting! What did you use on your front sight?

For that day on it's first shots....a carefully cut piece of yellow masking tape! Have since replaced that with a painted stripe using
small tip paint marker. Works really well for my aging eyes at 65.

Ha! I wondered how you got such a nice straight line on your sight. The tape explains it! I'm going to have to do something with my front sight too sooner or later. Thanks!fortyshooter wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 10:41 pmFor that day on it's first shots....a carefully cut piece of yellow masking tape! Have since replaced that with a painted stripe using
