Hello everyone. Since I bought my Henry about 10 months ago I've purchased many different brands of 30 30 ammo. The Federal and Winchester ammo I paid $6.00 per box on a Wal Mart clearance so I figured it's time to see how they all shot.
I put a Redfield Revolution 2-7-x33 scope with the accu range reticle on it. The first range session was at 60 yards shooting off of Caldwell shooting bags.
I have a lot to learn with this gun. It's the first lever gun I've purchased for myself, although I've shot levers in the past. I basically fired a shot then walked 60 yards to the target and repeated until I fired three rounds of each. I have chosen to hunt with the Hornady LeveRevolution 160 grain for now since it's the same ammo my son uses in his Marlin 336.
Attached is the target. So far I love the gun but did have a recent issue with it that I just posted about in the centerfire forum.
Upon previewing this it appears as though the pic might have rotated. I don't know how to fix that. Sorry if it stays that way.
Guess who just had a birthday? We did. Henry Rifle Forums has made it to the 10 year mark. Thank you to all members, I'm glad you are here!

.
I've shot 150gr and 170gr
Remington CorLokt
Winchester Super-X Deer/Black Bear
and Federal Fusion.
Federal Fusion was far superior of the 3.
