I don't know but, lately I been admiring the engraving of some of the new offerings frpm HRA. I really like the new buffalo engraving myself. For marketing purposes, I realize that the engravings are to help sell those specific rifles. I thought maybe it would be great if HRA would offer engraving of the receiver of my rifle, for a cost of course. Maybe there would be a limit of three or four different designs that can be chosen. Whether you send in just the receiver or the rifle to be engraved would probably do the trick. It could possibly be another income source for HRA. Does this sound crazy?

I'm sure some would agree, but to me all the extra craving in the wood like the new side gates, is hideous.
And won't buy one.
Just a small amount of checkering or the smooth finish is more to my liking.
Same with all the the engraving, a little scroll around the edge of the receiver is fine.
But that's just my opinion, and we all know what they say about that.

But I agree it might appeal to some, but not for this ole guy.

Well I was just thinking about the scroll work on the receiver only. I agree that the stock carvings do tend to look a little gaudy . I think that a little work on my H006 receiver would make it look great. Call me crazy, But...

And it does have some deep bluing.
My dad had one like it when I was growing up, but his first grandson got it.

A great way to personalize to me would be with leather. A beautiful butt stock cover, sling or otherwise. Those things can be removed when the rifle passes down. Taylor it to suit you for now without making it permanent. Whether it be a son, daughter or even a friend...then they can do the same to commemorate whatever they want. "This is my Henry", then tell of the legacy.
Don`t get me wrong...some of the Henry offerings are great, given the honorable gifting to acknowledge some ones achievements.
