Overcast on this Monday. The neighbor lady and I are going to a salvage yard today. I bet we come home with lots of stuff.

That's the $64 question. It will be a Uberti just not sure the model. I'm looking at 1873 Cattleman or Horseman (same except horseman has transfer bar, better coil spring and wider trigger) or the 1875 Outlaw/Army. I like the blued but stainless may be more practical. By the way, real nice day here and having a coffee this morning. Have a great day!Vaquero wrote:Mornin all 74 right now but getting up around 93.RanchRoper wrote:Nice day here. Sunshine and windy. Normal. Passed my handgun license test this morning. Have to contact RCMP and they will update my status from non-restricted (rifle) to restricted (rifle and handgun).
Coffee is good.
Congrats on passing.
Now what are you going to get??

I brought up the UBERTI website to look at those pretty guns again. Very, very nice!RanchRoper wrote:That's the $64 question. It will be a Uberti just not sure the model. Did you decide to get a matching caliber handgun so you can share ammunition with your rifle?
I can't remember if you decided on that for sure or were still debating it. Sorry.
Take care and congrats again!

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Hi Cate, yes I will be buying it in .45 Colt, same as my Henry Big Boy! Just mailed all of my paperwork today to the RCMP firearms center and HOPEFULLY it doesn't take too long to process. My rifle one took only about a month so maybe this is less since they already checked me out.Catherine wrote:I brought up the UBERTI website to look at those pretty guns again. Those Uberti's are easy on the eyes, and come highly spoken of by several members here on the forum. Can't wait!

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Having my first Henry mug of coffee and it is 59* at 5:30 AM. Calling for a high of 84* today with light winds for a change. Should be a better day for the wind not stirring up the pollen from the fields here. They are making the first cut now and then my allergy issues won't be quite as bad once the hay is down. I think they maybe mowed the two little fawns that my wife watches here in the evenings. The mother deer was going crazy running around in the field and didn't want to leave even with the mowers running close to her. I hope I am wrong and they didn't get them but it seems to happen every year. Every one enjoy your day.
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Just finishing up my coffee in the Henry mug. Going to be 86 today. Getting ready for work and will be ordering a new rocker recliner today in Mossy Oak Breakup for the new house. Get to close next Monday and hopefully be able to move in by mid July.
Hope to make it to the range this weekend.
Everyone have a great day and stay safe.
