I made it home...

Got the rail mounted and Loctited, the rings mounted, torqued, lapped, and aligned, the scope mounted, squared, crosshair focused, and ring caps torqued, and the hammer spur installed.

She's range ready...

I didn't really need the hammer spur, but I put it on there anyway... makes decocking a little easier. There was plenty of room for the scope to fit everywhere.

With the zoom set at 1.5 thru about 2.5 I can see the front sight through the scope, but its not bad...its down at the very bottom and out of the way... matter of fact, I think it'll come in handy, it can be used as a reference to make sure I'm lined up and parallax free if I need a precise close up shot.

The scope is awesome... fits nice and isn't too big for the little gun.

I'm gonna start a new thread for the load development.

Good looking and the scope doesn't detract from it. Thanks for the picture!

My son is gonna use the Henry for the juvenile hunt this weekend.

Gonna be a wet one, but we're going anyway.

Nice setup, looks similar to mine.
Mine is the rifle, but I added the large loop.
Thanks for the pic.

Good luck to the son. Just looked at the radar and it may be dryer than ya think.
Hope he gets a good one.

Mine will be going some when the season opens here.

Seen some does just at daylight, couldn't see them good enough to tell which way they were standing though...to dark and too far away, 325 yards.

Ended up bringing the M48 280 Ackley instead of his 7mm-08...he's the operator though, I'm just here to satisfy the legal requirement, lol.

We brought the Henry too, but this place is wide open river bottom, shots can be anywhere from 10 feet to 800 yards.
