beautiful indeed .... I'd never seen (much less handled/owned) a case hardened firearm until purchasing our Henry 45-70 .... I didn't know how I'd feel about it but have to say I've come to really like it .... my hope is Henry will extend it line of case hardened rifles to include a 357 mag

I've seen quite a few pictures of color case-hardened Henry's, but your .30-30 is about the sharpest one so far -- very nice, and really goes well with the beautiful Henry wood. Great choice!

Now what are your plans for getting us your first Range Report on this rifle?!?

Thanks for the comments on the cch 30-30 everyone. It was right beside my 45-70 when I bought it, I couldn't stop thinking about it and still had some gun money so I went back a week later and bought it. It looks real good in person. I really need to get it out to the range. The octagon barrel is really nice too. I need to just make the time and go, I need to get out and shoot the 30-30 , the 45-70 and at least one of the 1911s. It will happen soon

I agree. I can't imagine there are too many "working" guns that could be featured in the catalog.

Whenever I feel like drooling I open the Henry catalog, it always does it.
If I go to the catalog online I have to stay back away from my keyboard. Drool is difficult to get from between the keys!

True, I meant more that RR's is actually used in his work.

There's likely some hunters on here that put their Henry's through some long hours in the field.

Big Boy 45 with SeeAll open sight.
22 cal. Small Game Carbine. It now has a Skinner front sight. The stock beed sight was not tall enough.
