Ended up with about a foot and a half of snow. Lots of busted trees and branches. Heavy wet snow that froze to everything when temps went to 12F. Supposed to get to 40 by weekend.

It's in the low 40's and headed to the high 60's. It's going to be a beautiful day today.
I'm having coffee in the Smith and Wesson mug this morning.

It's days like today I miss my parents farm the most. I would have likely been out harvesting pumpkins and squash with my father on a day like today if I had no work, or I would have taken the day off. Good hard work bringing in a wagon full of the fall harvest. I can't wait to get a small place of my own soon. For now I have to make do with a farm share I participate in at work. They deliver it right to work. Yesterday's bounty included the cutest hybrid butternut squash. I'd never heard of or seen these, dad always grew the traditional style. I'd rather grow and pick my own, but for now I will take delivered fresh over supermarket blandness.

I hope you all have a great day. Tell us about it later.

Absolute opposite here in So-Cal. We have "Red Flag" warnings all over due to high winds and roaring brush fires in Porter ranch area burning west towards Ventura Co. Two outdoor shooting ranges in danger, not to mention a LOT of homes already burned or in danger. These things are bad news. Fine where I'm at, but, bad for folks in that area. Dang!

Just past the morning, been having a large time with the guys.
Hunting this morning I got one turkey and one pheasant, missed one on account of forgetting to push the safety off.
