not much chance of that in our part of NC and even less where we spend our winters in Texas .... in South Dakota where we spend our summers, small towns spring up one the ice during the winter .... I've looked at many of their "shacks" and some are really nice

One of my favorite times of the year! We have lots of smaller lakes nearby that offer some great fishing through the ice. I typically like to target pike and walleye on my tip ups, and jig for crappie inside my hut while I wait for a flag. Bring some friends, a heater, and a grill, and it’s always a good time

I haven't been in almost 20 years, but enjoy ice fishing. Last time we went was in Feb 18, 2001, after we got back from Korea. My folks' satellite tv subscription didn't have the channel the Daytona 500 was on, so my wife and I went ice fishing. After we finished and got everything loaded back in my truck, across the radio station they announced that Dale Earnhardt had been killed.
