American members beware...this is a Canadian site...the prices may cause cardiac arrest in those used to buying ammo south of the border.

I scored some local ammo today in Pincher Creek. Federal 225 gr JSP.

I never put copper through my rifle but this is decent revolver ammo. Nice to have a local store carry any 45 Colt. $44 for a box of 50. 15% off my next purchase.

Walmart Will Discontinue Selling Handgun Ammunition

Post by CT_Shooter » Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:24 pm

Doug McMillon, President and CEO of Walmart wrote:
- After selling through our current inventory commitments, we will discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons;

- We will sell through and discontinue handgun ammunition;

- We will discontinue handgun sales in Alaska, marking our complete exit from handguns.

I wonder how their decision to stop selling handgun ammo will impact their sale of Henry Rifles :?:

I wouldn't put Walmart ammo in a Henry if you paid me. My Henry deserves only the best. As do my other firearms.

At risk of getting chastised for being political, here's what's going on and not just with this announcement from Walmart:

Social Engineering:

"Social engineering is a discipline in social science that refers to efforts to influence particular attitudes and social behaviors on a large scale, whether by governments, media or private groups in order to produce desired characteristics in a target population. Social engineering can also be understood philosophically as a deterministic phenomenon where the intentions and goals of the architects of the new social construct are realized."

While personally satisfying, boycotting Walmart or any other multi-billion dollar company will have zero impact on them. They won't even notice.
