Had some low spots around the grounds to fill in this morning and of course I always bring along something to shoot
so it was the Ruger New Vaquero .45 Colt's turn today.
So after the work is done it's time for some fun and tried 6 shots at the target from 10 yds. standing and firing with one hand of course.
My first shot seems to be a flyer some times but reeled them in to the center.
Then before you leave you have to shoot the gong and this time from about 30-35 yds.
Great weather before Dorian makes it's way up the coast in a couple days!

Nice shooting. That's a sharp looking VQ. Distributor exclusive with that case color?

RR will like those big holes in that target. Looks like you did a great job putting them on target. But I bet you had more fun ringing that gong

NCG...that is just a plain ol' NV of 2005 build which was the first year on the smaller Colt sized frame.North Country Gal wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:48 pmNice shooting. That's a sharp looking VQ. Distributor exclusive with that case color?
The grips are walnut that were refinished by the guy I had sold the revolver to several years ago.
Glad I convinced the fellow to take another revolver I had in trade to get it back!

I miss my single actions. Nice shootin.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
