Customer Service from Henry

Post by stevec » Tue Aug 27, 2019 1:55 pm

What a great company, I had a broken empty shell stuck in the barrel of my H006 44 mag. The gun was purchased back in 2010, and had many rounds through it, then a shell broke inside the barrel at the range a few weeks ago, I brought the gun to my gunsmith, I could not get the shell out, he looked at it and sent it back to Henry for repair. Henry took it replaced the barrel and mag tube tested it and sent it back to the gunsmith and me in about a weeks time. The gun came back like new and no COST, I could not believe it, a Great company that stands behind their product, I own 5 Henry rifles and I will buy more, Thanks Henry

I had a broken empty shell stuck in the barrel
Kind of wondering what you mean by this.
Did the case head separate leaving the remainder of the case in the CHAMBER?
How did the case 'break' exactly and where did it end up?

I most always shoot with a clean gun, that day it was clean, at the 5th or 6th shot I ejected the shell and tried to load the next round, it would not load and I did not try to force it, I ejected that loaded round and when I bent down to pick it up I noticed the back end of the previous shell. About a quarter of the shell ejected, I unloaded the gun , went inside and took a flashlight and looked inside the barrel from the receiver end and there was the rest of the shell. I don't know how it broke, factory loads never fired rounds, maybe they were old I know I had them for a few years, never had a problem like this before, I just wanted to shoot them so I could reload them, hey crap happens, I just glad Henry repaired it

I noticed the back end of the previous shell.
So you had case head separation
I don't know how long you had this ammo but I would have contacted the manufacturer.
This is not normal for new ammo but they would have most likely wanted the case returned - you don't still have it perchance do you?
