Took my 1860 Henry and 1871 Colt Richards revolver to the show (ie range) today and entered up in the shooting contest. First prize was a bottle of snake oil elixir guaranteed to cure all.
Shooting glorious frontier 45 Colt., a box of Wolf Ammunition, 250 gr LFN.
This is 50 yds, shooting from 1 knee position. I really like shooting this way. Very natural to me. 12 rounds, open sights, pulling a little left...
Next up is 50 yds off hand standing, this was 14 rounds. I don't shoot much standing up, that 24" barrel gets heavy...we'll see how I make out with the new 1885 High Wall when it shows up...30" octagon
This is 50 yds from 1 knee, got it dialed in this time...14 rounds...I shoot odd amounts of rounds because I don't always load a full tube and compress the spring to max, so might load 7 + 7 or whatever suits me...
And finally, my revolver, shooting 1 hand at 15 yds...10 rounds, played a hand of poker while I was there...(Bandit got me hooked on card tricks)
Hope you enjoyed your day at the Wild West Show!
