Our Morning Sweat and Weather.......

Post by fortyshooter » Sun Aug 18, 2019 10:54 am

Here in Central Va. we get to enjoy Florida weather for the month of August....60-80% Humidity and 90-95 temps!
Why folks think moving to Florida is such the big deal it sure isn't cool!

Just finished up some grass trimming I didn't get to yesterday and the heavy morning dew give a green spray of the push mower
plus the shoot gets plugged every few minutes of cutting. If you wait till the dew dries,if it does, then way to hot to cut.

Anyway this seems to be a hotter than normal August around here with this past July the hottest ever....can't wait for some Fall
type weather to come in soon! Don't get much range time in during the hot summer.

Don't get to excited. The average temp in our area is 82 for Sept, Weather models predict 2 to 3 degrees warmer than average. This year will end up, world wide, as the hottest in man-kines history.

I have a theory....it never used to be so humid here. Our area is now saturated with Floridians. I think they brought it with them. :D
Not dissing Floridians...just saying,...they used to come to get away from that....surprise! ;)

About the same here since June, and probably that way well in to next month.

This past July broke the record in CT for the hottest month ever. My ac will be on again for the next four days because of oppressive humidity. We used to be in plant hardiness zone 6. We're now in zone 7, with some parts of the state in zone 7b.

So true, you can hardly rely on the zone charts anymore.

My dog Buster likes to lay out in the Sun so he was in backyard for a while licking on some ice cubes!

I used to have one that loved laying in the seat of my truck, I think the hotter it was the better he liked it.

Our summer here so far has been very mild. We usually get 60-90 days of mid 80's to mid 90's (maybe a handful of days reach 100). I don't think we've gotten higher than 89 so far and most temps in the mid 70's to low 80s.

We seem to have kinda parallel threads going here at this point. No big deal, just seems it might be time to merge.

Exact same deal in northern Washington/southern BC. I have to say, I’ve really enjoyed it! It’s often too hot to work in the middle of the day, but this year has been fine for that.

A little different over here in central Washington, seemed a little cooler than usual in June and most of July but we've been mostly in the mid 90's and even a few 100's for the last few weeks.

Out and about today, noticed for the first time that the Maple tree leaves at the top are just starting to turn.

Been a hot and humid week here.
Yesterday we helped the contractor set a pair of copper chimney caps on a house we finished last week.
41" square and about 2 feet tall.

Now just needs a pretty copper ladder to get in that front door!
