New old guy Hewy

Post by Hewy » Fri Aug 16, 2019 12:02 pm

Hello all .
Having fun for several years shooting two Henry rifles . I started my gun owner when I was 12 years old,
not a Henry of course , however a Canadian Cooey 22 bolt action single shot. Back in those good old days
I would ride my bicycle with the rifle strapped across the bike's handle bars to the woods near town .Oh wish I still had that little rifle today.
Now own a Henry 22Mag since 2012 and a 22 LR a couple years ago.
Getting a new Big Boy 45 Colt end of Sept this year. I am heavy into Black Powder revolvers and muzzle loader rifle for years .
Glade to be here. Thanks for letting me join..........

Glad you've joined and brought a couple of great Henry rimfires along. Lot of those are owned by Henry members....you'll fit in great!

Interesting that you commented, "I am heavy into Black Powder revolvers and muzzle loader rifle for years." Nice to know there is another experienced muzzleloader person here. This past July I got my first ML pistol, and have really enjoyed it so far. Maybe we'll get to chat more about BP shooting. BTW, are you a member of any muzzleloading forum or any ML shooting club? Anyway, welcome again. Enjoy your wanderings throughout the Henry forums.

Thanks for letting me know the names of your BP forums, Hewy. I definitely will check them out.
I'm a member of Muzzleloading Forum. One of the Henry members pointed me there, and it's been interesting.

So as time goes on, I'll again connect with you on that shooting style. First thing is that you get comfortable and settle in at your new Henry place! ;)

Not a prob on spelling. Although my PT7 moniker has a different meaning behind it, here is an easy way to remember. Think about the PT boats used by the US Navy during WWII (PT = abbreviation for "patrol torpedo boat").
Then add the "7" to it.

BTW, if I used my last name, trying to spell that correctly is no fun. ;)

Have a great weekend.
