Smoking cessation
Re: Smoking cessation
Toothpicks. I use to chew on some toothpicks when I was having an urge.

I remember in high school (pre-smoking days), kids used to soak toothpicks in cinnamon oil. Tasty!

I think you can buy them already done up to. I remember making my own. That cinnamon oil can burn ya pretty good if you get carried away. Dont ask me how I know.

Re: Smoking cessation
Not familiar with those Al, I'll check them out.
Went to the local ' Fresh Market' ( as it's called ) yesterday and picked up some dehydrated fruits and nuts. Also got some baby carrots and a bag of taffy. The sours might be good for on the go!
Still getting the urge ☹, so I hope these things help.

Picked up some of those sours today! Thanks for the tip Al! What a burst of flavor, I like them!
Still getting the urge daily, but seems to be getting a bit easier.

Good deal Mark. Glad you made it in and out of Walmart safely seems to be an issue these days.

Re: Smoking cessation
You're doing a great job of discovering all the alternatives when it comes to "things to put in your mouth instead of a cigarette," huh, Mark? Sounds like you've broken through the toughest part, and rotating through all these new snacks and such just helps with the "oral boredom" that comes along with the process.
The whole breathing/meditation side of things seems like time very well spent, too. We could probably all use more of that!

In the mean time, off to see the surgeon today for the other issue. I expect a date might be set today for that procedure. Will let you know how that goes.
