The Farm Pond

Post by BrokenolMarine » Sun Jul 28, 2019 12:25 pm

Back to the farm pond, finally. :D We went out early in the morning, but by just after 10 am, it was baking.
Tina did very well, catching a half dozen fish, especially in the shaded cove at the back of the pond.

She brought her baby with her in the custom made BarkPak she thought up and I made happen.
The dog likes it just fine... but hops down every time Tina catches a fish to inspect the catch before Miss T releases it.

While Tina is casting the frog, The Princess lays in her padded throne and watches the frog intently, ears perked. She gets excited at every topwater strike!

Fishing dog.

We had to leave after a couple hours, the heat was oppressive and T was afraid the dog was going to drop on her. She had begun panting and stopped watching the casting. We packed up and headed home.

Me? I stuck to the fly rod, and didn't get too much attention, although right at the end I began to get blowups and did hook up, but lost whatever it was right at the boat. Meh... :? It's about getting out of the house and on the water... I enjoyed the morning. Next time out we are going to a large clear water lake, about 700 acres. :P

Man, I'm glad we went, but Miss T should have worn a hat. She has been sick in the bed for two days. Headache, a touch of Nausea, and just Blah. I think she got overheated, which never happens to her. If she isn't over it by tomorrow, DR's office. She promised. (She is one of those who is quick to send others, but never wants to go themselves.) Four years riding in the back of the ambulance, she should know better.

She didn't get burned, but overheated. Funny, she's used to working in the heat, just snuck up on her. I will let you know how it's going.

Best wishes for Miss-T. Used to work outside and once suffered heat exhaustion. As ya'll probably know, not as bad as heat stroke, but still no fun. Keep cool and recover quickly!

Hope she's ok. My wife cannot hang out in the sun. She had sunstroke as a kid and can't take it.
