Caldwell® Ballistic Precision Sight in Target Camera

Post by JEBar » Fri Jun 28, 2019 12:21 pm

Caldwell has come up with an interesting Target Camera ===> https://www.caldwellshooting.com/target ... ml#start=1 .... link to a YouTube video ===> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oiv6EIGxAmQ .... Amazon has them for about $70 more than the price shown in the link to Caldwell

400 would be more than sufficient for most of the folks I know .... I did notice that the more expensive version showed 2 tripods and the cheaper ones show 1 ....

One of these target cams might be fun to play with but its just more stuff to haul into the woods or to the range!

don't know that I'll every buy something like this but with one knee already having been replaced and arthritis in the other, being able to reduce the number of 200 yard walks I usually make to check targets is a rather attractive thought ..

historically I use a rifle scope .... with my vision, for big holes that usually works OK but not so much for small ones

I am considering a good spotting scope. My current one is an antique x30. A good scope will save a lot of walking.

sorry, none at all .... I was in hope that you might have already done the research .... many years ago I bought a cheap Russian Surplus spotting scope from Sportman's Guide .... they weren't worth a flit .... have looked at a few and from reading it appears that, like with most optics, good ones are expensive

UPDATE

just received an email from Caldwell announcing a sale on their Ballistic Precision Sight in Target Camera for $174.30 (see link below) .... that moves it into a price range I'm having to give purchasing one very serious consideration .... unless something changes and with me that does seem to happen more and more all the time, I believe I'll call them in the morning and place an order

On sale today for $174.30 . I'm not sure if my range would allow the set up.

setting it up at our family range and/or the range belonging to a good friend that we use at home wouldn't be any problem whatsoever .... no clue how they would feel about it at the range near Conroe, TX

With shooters you don't know, and some you do, Never put anything down range you dont want extra holes in.
