STI Sentinel Premier 1911 in 9mm
Picked up this now discontinued STI 1911 for a great price and grabbed it, since STI has dropped all its 1911s to concentrate on their high end 2011 race guns. Like Dan Wesson 1911s, STI 1911s are as good as it gets until you go full custom.

Makes shooting my favorite kind of bullseyes (the shredded kind) very easy.

Dan Wesson A2 1911 in 45 auto
When it comes to 1911s, I love the traditional look and the A2 was designed with that in mind. Still love the 45 auto, but, have to admit, the older I get, the easier the 9mm is to handle. Still, the A2 in 45 auto always delivers.

Winchester/Miroku 1885 Low Wall Hunter in 223
I love my 1885 Hunters. They're built trim and lightweight as 1885s go, with a tapered 24" octagon barrel, instead of the behemoth 30" barrels most 1885s wear. Keeps the weight under 8 pounds instead of the usual 9 pounds plus.

This Low Wall 223 is a true half MOA shooter when fed the ammo it likes. Several trips with this gun, so far this year, and every outing has produced a sub half-inch group at 100 yards. This week's outing was no exception. Not a heavy bench rest bolt rifle, but it shoots like one.

More to come, but it's been a good week. Happy 4th, everyone.
