Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Still on the hot side in KC as the weekend winds down. Maybe some rain this coming week and bit of relief.

Good one Vaquero. Seeing things like that make me thankful for the health I have. Warm here and getting ready here to get on that bike and go for my Sunday ride. Going early as it will be hot later.

He had an automobile accident, will be 2 yrs. July 7TH.
It left him with very limited mobility, permanently.
Still in pretty good spirits, and still talks of deer hunting again.

Very sorry to hear his affliction is permanent, but glad he's in good spirits. Appears he has some good friends! That helps a lot!

Cooler here today. Just a tease for later in the week when it will be hot again. I can tell its getting close to the 4th as the fireworks have been booming in the hood for a week now. There illegal here but not being far from Wyoming they seem to make there way to the area.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
last October the eye of Hurricane Michael literally passed over our camper while we were camped near the southeast coast of Virginia .... it raged for hours and did tremendous damage .... we have a well built camper and at no time did it shudder from being buffeted by hurricane force winds .... shortly after midnight last night we were awakened by feeling our camper vibrate (literally for a few seconds) after being hit with a blast of wind from a very strong thunderstorm ..... to be clear we have felt the same type of movement before but it sure doesn't happen often .... once the sun came up, large pools of standing water once again gave evidence to the heavy rain that had fallen ..... thankfully, the only evidence we can see of the strong wind is an overturned, heavy lawn chair and bunches of small branches down .... 80% chance of more such storms on tap for today .... Henry mug will see considerable use this morning

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Strong storms overnight here and now 70s and overcast.
We had so much rain south of us that it actually washed a herd of cattle away on Saturday.
Most swam with the current and were eventually recovered, but not all.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Sunshine and 70F today for Canada Day. Lots of fireworks and stuff planned in the area. I will clean guns today, and spend some time just sitting on the deck with a cold ice tea. Rain later this week and Friday is the start of Calgary Stampede week. Started in 1912 and one of the big ones along with Cheyenne, Pendleton and a few others. Parade, rodeo, chuck wagon races, midway, stock dog shows, etc. My wife did not enter any oil paintings in the western art show this year, first time in 10 years. But we will go and check out the other artists stuff.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Morning, still in central SC, it's a nice 70° here this AM.
How about a little chuckle this morn?
Dr Phil
I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me, and we all could use more calm in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on a Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace.
Dr. Phil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started. So, I looked around my house to see things I started, and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Jack Daniels black, a can of Budweiser , a Pickled egg, a bag of chips, the rest of the pizza, some Saltines, and a Cuban cigar.
You have no idea how freaking good I feel.

70 and sunny. Calling for afternoon storms as has become the norm. Same basic forecast for the next 2 weeks. At least it's not pouring rain like it has nearly every day for the last couple months.

Mid 80's and maybe a passing shower hope it spares me on my evening bike ride.
