Re: New Henry
Welcome to the Forums from KC! Assuming you ordered from a reputable dealer on a site like GunBroker (or direct from some of the bigger ones), you should be just fine! Big Boy Steels are great and the 45 Colt round has lots of fans here (me included), so please keep us posted on the progress of your purchase, receipt, first impressions, first shots, etc. Pictures are always good, too!
Welcome again, glad you're here!

Buds is legit. Hope you paid through a bank account rather than a credit card to get the discount. Shipping from Buds can be a bit delayed when they get overly busy but right now while sales are down they should be rather prompt. I don't live far from them but sometimes it's easier to have them ship to my guy than to make the 200 mile round trip.

Re: New Henry
Welcome! I bought my Henry BB steel.45 Colt thru Bud's. Hassle free and prompt. Mine also has the 20" barrel. You're going to love that rifle. So easy to shoot. Will you handload for it? Anyways, enjoy!
Re: New Henry
Yes, i will be reloading and casting bullets for it. I'm hoping to find a load that will work in both my Ruger Bisley and th Henry..

Re: New Henry
Shouldn't be hard at all to accomplish. I'd concentrate on getting the Henry to shoot first since that Ruger won't be too particular.

Re: New Henry
The biggest hurdle to jump will be getting an accurate chamber slug. Will the innerds be strong enough to get an accurate pound slug? I have a few diff. molds to try. A .452" 250ish gr. swc; a .454" 270 gr. swc; a Lee 310 gr. rfn; and a..454" 350ish gr. rfn. Powder will be h110 and red dot/promo. May end up getting a Williams 1/16th" brass bead front sight and a Skinner peep for the rear.
