Henry revolvers and .360 Buckhammer

The Ruger 1894 isn't scheduled for release until this summer and then only in .44 and .357. With the capitalism taking place on Gun Broker with Homesteaders and new Marlin 336's I can only imagine what the window sticker on a Ruger produced .41 Mag lever would be.

Guess I'll have to send Henry yet another request/suggestion.

Well I just looked at GB a minute ago at the new Marlin Ruger 336. I see bid on them at 1850.00. It will be a cold day in he** before I pay that kind of money for one. Just another case of out of control gun prices

I agree with Big Al, that is insane money for a Marlin 336. Those prices will just send more of the younger hunters to buy the low priced bolt action rifles that fire more potent calibers that the 30-30.

This may be an unpopular opinion.
I'd rather them contract the catalog lineup and fix some of the quality control issues. I love my two big boy x's but they have faults. On top of that, Henry can't seem to produce enough of its current lineup to meet its demands.

Not unpopular at all. I see it and I see the quality in the last couple of years go the other direction. People are sending guns back multiple times for repair. In some cases just accepting the poor quality. Anthony Imperato's guarantee is still on the website and for me its 3 strikes. If it isnt right after that I want my money back

I totally agree with both. Sometimes it seems that H.R.A. has lost it's direction. Maybe the big I should get in there and kick some Bxxx so that the rifles are not sent back to be fixed.

Guess I will just stay with my old model Colt Trooper .357 and my Ruger GP 100. The Colt I bought in 68 and it started me on handloading. I put at least 5K rounds through it and it still locks up tight.

A distinction in these new models is the new Brass Large Frame Side Gate rifles with Octagon barrels.
Henry a couple of years ago released Brass Large Frame Side Gate rifles with round barrels. One of these I have.

From looks I think Henry did a great job and the revolver reminds of an early S&W with the case extractor hanging out there and not tucked in to the barrel....no under lug. Really like that birds head version too. I would have to handle one and see how the trigger action is plus tightness of cylinder lock. Price wise most good revolvers are going to be in the 900 dollar range and remember that is the full list price. Made in the USA cost some money which it should to provide good pay for the skilled workers.
Just might latch on to one! Still holding on to 50 bucks of birthday money!

Notice that the bolt cuts on the H.R.A. revolvers are offset from the chamber centers.This makes the cylinder stronger than those with cuts centered on the chambers. I hope that they get around to making one with an adjustable rear site , otherwise I am not interested

Except for the cylinder release,the new revolvers look just like the COLT double action revolvers with the unsupported ejector rod front next to the barrel in front of the frame. S&W revolvers that weren't top break, had a spring loaded catch that pops into the hollow in the front of the ejector. That was part of the cylinder lockup. Those of you that have Smiths, know what I mean. So to me they look like a Colt.
