My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
I was putting away my favorite Henry after a quick trip in from the barn. Which of the Henry's is my favorite? I've mentioned it before. I have at least a half dozen Henry's, surely more. Of all of them, my favorite and most used is my garden gun. It might rankle a few feathers, but I find it to be my favorite by far. It's just the right thing for varmints in and around the barn and garden. I use the little .22 shot shells in a couple of handguns too, just for vermin.
I had gone to the barn to start all my small engine equipment yesterday and today. The weather was right and I got everything started in and around the barn. Three tractors, two garden tractors, two push mowers, two weed eaters, and two rototillers. A few of them are kept in the barn, but the rest are kept outside, tarped. There is always a good chance that mice have made a nest in any or all of them. I have to check them first and then start them. If I have missed something, the mice usually abandon ship when the engine starts. Having a short range .22 shotgun makes the difference in stopping the hordes or letting them set up elsewhere.
I take the garden gun out the most. I use it the most and I like it the best. I appreciate it for what it is.
What is your favorite Henry? And why?

My favorite is my simple 'ol H001. Looks great, cycles great, shoots great.
The reason why it's my favorite Henry, is that it's the only Henry I own, but it's my go to gun more than any other.

my favorite is my BBS 44 Mag .... its fun to fire
Re: My favorite Henry is.......What is yours?
Toss up between the small game carbine and the pump for rimfire. Like the sight and balance of the small game carbine and the pump stays on target when cycling. Shoot more rimfire than anything else in long gun.

It’s hard to choose just one so I’m going to say any of the .22S/L/LR. They are far more fun then the .17 and 22 mags. And more fun than the .223 Ranger and the two .410’s I own. I just plain like 22 rimfire. It’s surprising because for decades I shot surplus military firearms like the 03, M1, M1 Carbine and Enfields and Mosin Nagants. Not to mention Mausers and Schmidt-Rubin’s

With out a doubt my favorite is my BBS 357. Accurate, reliable and just down right fun to shoot. I have always said that shooting a 357 carbine makes us giggle!

My single shot Henry in .30-30 is a prize to me. Something about a single shot appeals to me for some reason. Obviously.

I only own two Henry's; an H001 and an H006M. Neither is a favorite. I love them both; each for their different qualities and, of course, their Henry DNA.
