I decided not to post these photos in our Forum weather thread. This snowstorm is a "1st" for my daughter and I as we've just moved into her new house. The snowstorm is also the first one of our 2019 MO winter. We're now 1/2 way through the weekend storm forecast. My photos show the snowfall overnight, and the forecast is continuing under a "winter storm warning" until this evening. An additional 2-4" of snow and total accumulation of 6-9 inches is expected by around 6PM. Beautiful, large flakes have been dropping, and they are clinging to everything! Reminds me of some wintry scenes growing up as a kid.
We are not in a rural location; rather smack dab in KCMO. But our cul-de-sac of homes has fairly large home sites with mature trees everywhere. So we are enjoying our very short time here so far. I know many of you good Folk may not like winter/snow/cold like I do, and everyone has seen their share of snow. Still, hope you have some "kid enjoyment" as I did looking out the windows this morning. Have a great weekend! PT7
These two photos are taken from my bedroom window at front of house; views in each direction of the cul-de-sac street.

Now for the backyard view. We have a house with a walk-in basement. This wood deck is built above the ground-level patio, and we access the deck through slider door from the kitchen. Again, views are in each direction looking over our backyard as well into neighbors backyards. Sure looks spacious to us after apartment views. And what a beautiful snowfall...God is a magnificent artist!

Got a good friend over in Gardner, need to call and see how he's a liking all that white dirt.
Talked with another friend this mornin over just south of St. Louis, he said that got about 11" of the stuff overnight.
They were sayin we might get a little last night but, it stayed north.
And I'm glad.
Enjoy

Vaquero....Just last week when my daughter made her final big-furniture move from Lawrence, KS, her life-long friends from Gardner, KS were her helpers. My wife and I were friends with their Mom when the kids were growing up, so I'll be re-acquainting with them as they visit my daughter here in KCMO. The re-connect was fun.
Small world.

I like snow too. Gotten to be a rarity here. Usually wet gray and dirty here so when we get snow, its appreciated. Really brightens things when it buries the muck.
