Olympic mountains in the background.

Another one with the Olympic mountains in the background.

The bluff is about 180' high.

Very relaxing listening to the waves.

Another one showing the Olympic mountains.

I remember views of this Strait as my wife and I did a sight-seeing drive to Neah Bay. Being from the Midwest, we had to go to the furthest western point of the U.S. since we were so close! One neat part of that drive is that you eventually run out of road, and can drive no further west, or north, in the continental U.S.!That provided a deeper meaning to the road signs that say, "Dead End."

Also remember crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the ferry to Victoria. The waters were nowhere near calm that day. In fact, I think I had my first ever brief taste of sea sickness! But it was fun, and we enjoyed every minute in the Northwest.
BTW, we had a fun surprise for my wife along Hwy. 112 on that drive to Neah Bay. Came across the town that was named after her -- Joyce!Wonderful memories....thanks. Your pictures are excellent!
