That crescendo of fog rising toward the sun is beautiful!
Almost can imagine it being Walden Pond, which Thoreau enjoyed...

“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods

Thought I'd post a follow up. We've been so happy with this little camera that I bought another for the wife. Shortly after that the flash died on mine. So far that's actually been a good thing. It now takes great low light pics! Previously they had confused the camera some.

Hack and I have been doing some winter camping lately at a local state park. We have it to ourselves during the week. Fort Fredrick State Park. We were touring the fort and couldn't see through the old float glass windows of the bunk houses. But my camera sure could.

Very cool fort.

I leave the flash set to off whenever I can.

Great photographs. Thanks for sharing your camping with us.
