Man, I hope you're right about the TLC, Sir!!
Scope is a fairly old (25+ yrs.) Leupold Vari-X II 3x9. Will go back on my equally old Ruger stainless M77 MkII (think Boat Paddle stock, but I've replaced that stock long ago......). This scope currently has some "issues" staying put on zero. I live in Oregon, not far from where the scopes are made and serviced. If I drive the 25 miles or so from my house to their service center and drop it off & pick it up myself, they will fix it and have it ready for me within a week, maybe 10 days, I was told. If I mail it to them, they will have it for over a month before I can get it back. A friend I used to work with needed something done to his Leupold scope about 2 weeks before deer season opened one year. He dropped his scope off, and they gave him a "loaner scope" to use for his hunt. Got his glass back right after deer season. Don't know if they still do that anymore, but I always thought it was pretty cool of them to do that.
