Going thru some of my Ruger+ 45 Colt ammo.

Post by fortyshooter » Sat Aug 15, 2020 12:11 pm

I keep the hot .45 Colt loads in a separate container in back of my ammo storage. Was going thru things to see what I had in .45 and other calibers.
The 250 gr. XTP's with 20 gr. of 2400 would work very well in the .45 Carbine. Had loaded those for my Alaskan and Ruger BH.
They run about 1100 FPS out of the 2.5 inch Alaskan.

For sure, those Ruger's can handle those hot loads. I have a couple of boxes of the Buffalo Bore 45 Colt +P I haven't had a chance to shoot.

Good stuff to have on hand! I love the Hornady XTP and 2400 for .45 colt! :D
