I respect that some on here do not pay any attention to pro football but I’m basking in joy this morning.

The Seattle Seahawks beat the arch rival LA Rams yesterday in a close hard fought game. And for me the New England Patriots beating Denver in miserable snowy conditions also gives me joy. Why does this guy in the Inland Northwest care about a team 3000 miles away? Well, eleven years ago the Seahawks played the Patriots in the Super Bowl. At the end of the game the Hawks were down a few points, had the ball on the Pats 2 yard line and it was only second down. Their monster running back Marshawn Lynch was ready and raring to go. So what does the coaching staff for the Hawks call for a play? A stupid pass that was intercepted by NE who then were able to run out the clock for the win. I’ll never forget the look on the superstar QB Tom Brady’s face when the int happened. Obviously Brady had the same opinion of the play selection as us Hawks fans did.

So, with the Patriots playing the Hawks this year the opportunity for redemption has arrived.

Oh, you said Super Bowl.

I don’t like either team but Seattle D is tough.

“Run the ball Pete” is still a popular expression to mean don’t do something stupid. I like Skittles.

They should bring Pete Carroll in as a guest commentator for the game.
