4 inches of rain is almost ½ of our normal yearly rain fall (including melted snow), highest recorded wind gust was 72mph and I've never seen hail larger than a bb and any hail at all is pretty rare. We do have extensive wildfires most years, the hillsides are already looking as dry as they get in August and even though it's illegal in most of Eastern Washington the idiots will be out shooting off their fireworks in a few days. Just had a brush fire yesterday less than 10 miles south of me, luckily there were a couple of water planes returning from a fire to the north of us who saw it and got right on it, helped that the fire was very close to the Columbia River so they didn't have far to go to re-fill their tanks. No details yet but they said the fire was human caused.Hatchdog wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:11 amYikes! Your wind and Sir Henry’s rain. Crazy.
Here it’s 54 and partly cloudy. We had a nice rain last night but only .07 inch. The month of June has brought us only .26 of an inch total. Normally June is a cool wet month but not for the last several years. High today of 70 something with more rain this afternoon and a possible thunderstorm.
