Seems ammo has been in in high demand for the last twelve years.

I agree. Part of the problem in the ammo market has been the panic buying, so it is tough for ammo manufacturers to respond and set production goals.

I got a Ruger M77 22 Hornet from a friend last December. It shoots really well and doesn't take a lot of powder to reload. My is very accurate at 50 yards. I've not pushed it past that on the shooting range. It's fun gun to shoot.

Thanks. The 20 power of the same model looks good to me for benchrest at 100 yards. It currently has a 3x9 on it for shooting gophers.

I've got the 20X on a couple of my rifles....a M77 in 280 and Ruger No. 1 in 25-06. They're good scopes for the money.
