Don't know anything much about guitars, but that's a beauty.
I do know the Les Paul's are a very desirable.
Congrats.

Fair 66°F 19°C
Humidity 56%
Wind Speed SE 7 mph
Barometer 30.21 in
Folgers and whatever desert is left over in the fridge this AM.
Carol is making my favorite pie for Father's Day and needs the room in the fridge, so I
need to eat what's left of Rhubarb Tort. It's a tough assignment, but I'm up to it.
I'm going to mow today and then tomorrow it's supposed to be near 100 degrees so we'll sit
around the pool and chill.
They delivered the steel and plywood for the new bridge yesterday and Monday they will pour
it, along with the pad for the Generac. I need to clear a trail through the woods so we can park
our vehicles on a parking pad my neighbor has on top of the hill. They'll need to be there for a
few days while the cement cures.
Busy time of the year.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Gene, those colors are amazing.
50 heading to 68 with partly cloudy skies. Last night’s prediction of rain and thunderstorms didn’t happen. It’s supposed to be a cool partly sunny partly cloudy partly rainy weekend, not too bad. Balance of the month is supposed to be normal for precipitation and cooler than normal. June is typically a cool wet month for us but we had that all May. Go figure.
Got that tree from my neighbors hauled home and cut into rounds. Not sure if today I will finish up my trail project I started a month ago or continue mowing around the house. Decisions…

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Currently 49F and 86% humidity. Light rain expected off and on all day. It might make it to 60 today.
Coffee in the Farmall mug.
It went down to the low forties overnight and sleeping in the cool air and breeze from the windows was nice. The garden is enjoying the rain.
Great photographs Gene. It's a beautiful place you have. I'm glad you like it so much. Good choice.
I just put my cb radio in the F150. It took me a while to figure out how to mount the antenna without holes in the aluminum. Perhaps I will do a separate thread on that.
I hope your day is good.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
I hear ya! I sold three of my vintage Guild guitars. The only problem is I bought a new Heritage 535 with the proceeds! Don't have a pic but here's the link:RanchRoper wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 8:19 amT-storms in the area. Off to a gun show today. Yesterday went to the city and traded a couple of guitars I don’t play so much anymore for one I will. Picked up a nice Les Paul Standard 60’s model by Epiphone.

It's already a hot 87°with 71% humidity. It's supposed to reach 99° today. Cooked sausage, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I've got work to do but am having a hard time getting motivated. This next week I have an MRI scheduled for Tuesday morning and an appointment with the oncologist on Friday.

That heritage looks like the Epiphone Dot I traded. Nice guitar but I went back to a solid body.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Heritage is made by the luthiers that didn't want to move Tennessee when Gibson moved. They stayed at the same factory on ParsonsRanchRoper wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 11:35 amThat heritage looks like the Epiphone Dot I traded. Nice guitar but I went back to a solid body.
Street and started making the Heritage line. I think they're better than Gibson's......and I have a Gibson Les Paul and a Gibson SG. No complaints about either one of them but the craftsmanship on the Heritage is superior.

Happy Father’s day. Went shooting yesterday with the neighbor. Found a new and alot closer place to shoot. Neighbors nephew told me to come shoot anytime I want to. They have lots of steel set up and a dirt berm to plink at clays. Took out the Uberti 1873 12 shot and my Henry 22. Had a great time for a couple hours. Bike ride on tap for today

47 now with overcast. Forecast is for on and off rain with possible thunderstorms. Probably won’t get out of the 60’s today. Nice week ahead with a warming trend, looking at 70’s and little rain.
Got my atv trail cleaning finished yesterday and today I’ll run the field mower over it. There is one place that is very uneven that I might level out. Unfortunately it’s in a pretty steep area so the work will have to be done with a shovel and pick. Darn I hate that.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Took it easy this morning. I did get some floors cleaned before the wife got up. Just had cereal, strawberries and coffee. I think it was around 75° this morning and it's up to 94° currently at noon. It's supposed to top out at 99°. We need rain. It's getting really bad out there. I worry for all the farmers in the area. We haven't had any substantial rain in over a month and no rain the last two weeks or so, and none predicted for the next week. NOAH has the county listed under Extreme Drought.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s going to be 91 today after a low last night of 66. Might have to spend a bit of time in my teardrop with air conditioning.
Tonight the low will be 74.
