Would not surprise me at all.Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 2:20 pmA friend of mine saw a bear early this morning from his back porch. He said it stood up on it's hind legs and stood what looked like 8 Ft tall. He lives 1 1/2 miles from me.
Between where I am, and the NC coast, the bears are reported to get bigger. Would seem to apply to your location as well.

Ohh, don't like those big cats much. I've seen only a couple in our Eastern Sierra's. They're big! And damn sneaky.Vaquero wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 2:51 pmMark, I know very little about this part of SC.markiver54 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 12:48 pmProbably not Randy...if you're talking South Carolina, ( where I think you currently are ).
Maybe not many where you live either, however, Ya get in to those Tennessee mountains, it's a different story.
But yes the mountains between here and home do have a number of them.
None anywhere near my home, we have a few Big cats, but no Bears
