Thanks for the info and pictures. That looks good on your rifle. Was it difficult to drift that front sight in?

Both front and rear were easy as could be to install. I used a paint pen to put a small dab of white paint on the very top of the front (facing rear) to make it easier to see in different light. The biggest difference is the shape of the front. It’s thin and square, so you get good differentiation, and much less of the target is obscured. I should really get a patridge front for my Small Game Carbine too.

Well I just “bit the bullet” and ordered the Skinner Express and the .65 front blade sights. Not sure when they’ll be here but I’m looking forward to getting them installed and sighted in.Redthies wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 10:51 amBoth front and rear were easy as could be to install. I'm seriously leaning towards that Skinner "1894 Winged Tactical Sight" for Marlin's that fit perfectly on BBS/BBB receivers. Courtesy -db- in the Scopes/Sights threads. And, it works with the factory front sight on Henry's.

I saw that and it looks nice! I definitely wanted to change the front sight to a thinner blade, though. I also considered the Cloverleaf peep from Ranger Point Precision but ultimately went with the Skinner.

What's with you guys? I shoot factory sights and there's no eye strain at all...seems ok to me?

Re: BBSC 357 at 100 yards
I was seriously considering selling my Express for the winged Skinner, but polled a few of my gun buddies with pics of both and it was unanimous that I should keep my Express. It shoots so well as is I just don’t want to mess with it.
I bought the RPP Cloverleaf for my 1895GS Marlin. I really like it, but I haven’t shot it enough yet to decide if I like it it better than the Skinner or not yet. (Pink heel on wife’s weinerdog socks instead of pink range towel).
