I got a steel 45-70 Last week. I have not shot it yet, in the teens here. I did scope it. Maybe next week.

What did you scope it with? And we need pics, of course.
It's in the way below zero here , so I'm in no hurry to shoot mine, either. I'm still sorta wrestling with scope vs peep, but leaning hard toward a 2.75X Burris scope.

I put a Leupold VX1 3x9x40 Scope on it. My son does the reloading, What I think I want is 350 and 405 grain at 1300 fps we are using reloader7 and WLR primers, any help here sure would help. Got bad shoulders and want to keep it fun. Haven't fiquired out how to post pic yet.
