52 this morning but a high of 87 is on tap. Quit it already, it’s turning to October soon! Cool down this weekend with a nice week in the upper 70’s expected. Thank you!

I’m planning on staying cool this afternoon by walking 18 holes of golf on a hilly course. Yes, I need my head examined.

Took advantage of the cool weather and finished splitting what firewood I have. Won’t be enough for this winter so I may have to buy some. That will be a first for me as I always get enough off my place and from neighbors who don’t heat with wood to get by. I have five full trees cut into logs for next year but they are too green to burn this year.
...
Been stacking mine. Got a ways to go.

Mags, that’s a beautiful load of firewood. Nice to be able to stack at your pace, cold temps are still several weeks away.

50 this morning with 83 the predicted high. No fire in the stove this morning, Sat out on the patio and I’m finding these morning temps are refreshing. Maybe some rain tomorrow but not much if we get any at all. Nice week ahead with more early fall like temps.

Today I hope to finish my limb hauling/piling project and move on to other winter preps. Today is the annual Apple Cup football game between the Washington State Cougars and the Washington Huskies. Sadly this year the Cougs are going to get smoked.

Thanks. Supposed to be all hardwoods. So far most of it has been Maple, and a few pieces of Cherry. When it was delivered, the guy told me he had to top off the order with some Doug Fir. Initially thought that would be fine, but in stacking I'm finding more fir than I want.

Similar fall like mornings here too. 53' and sunny. Maybe 83' later. Rain expected tomorrow.

53 and overcast this morning. High only in the upper 70’s as we have a cold front coming in as I speak. Possible rain mid day, sure hope so. Nice week ahead with more fall like temps.

Got my limb hauling/piling done yesterday with only some light clean up to do. Then cover the piles with tarps and wait for snow. Then it’s “let it burn”.

73 humid degrees with a RealFeel of 81 at 11AM .... forecasted high 85 followed by an overnight low of 60 .... pretty dry here, no rain today (Sunday) with none mentioned in the extended forecast until Thursday/Friday .... 11 days since Maureen's knee replacement surgery .... she's come a long way but is still highly limited in what she is allowed to do .... only thing on today's agenda that requires leaving home is a trash run
