IMPORTANT: Henry recalling all single-shot rifles and shotguns
Attention all Henry H015 Single Shot Owners
Henry Repeating Arms is announcing that we are voluntarily recalling all H015-Series Single Shot Rifles and Shotguns. We have recently discovered a potential safety issue wherein, under certain conditions, it is possible that these models may discharge without the trigger being pulled if the hammer is partially cocked and released. To prevent the possibility of death or serious personal injury, you should immediately stop using all H015 series rifles and shotguns, and not load or fire them until they’ve been upgraded.
The safety issue leading to this voluntary recall was discovered internally while testing the existing fire control system for a trigger pull upgrade. In our nearly 25 year history, this is our first product safety recall. Although not every H015 may be affected, we are requesting that all Single Shot Rifles and Shotguns be returned to be upgraded free of charge. We are ready to begin receiving these models, and upgrades will be performed in the order the firearms are received. We will make every effort to minimize the time required to perform this work, and will also be performing an unrelated upgrade to improve the trigger pull on all firearms returned pursuant to this recall.

Thanks for the info. Just ordered a label and ship box. They could probable effect fix with just the stock and action. Not sure if they will require complete rifle. Dislike removing scope if not necessary.

On another site, a post mentioned "check with manufacturer for serial numbers". The post was from an employee of a retailer, who said they returned two. I suspect all the older firearms are in play here, but I've asked Henry for some additional information.

Henry Single Shot recall
Been reading on this and I know I will send mine in. There recalling all the single shots for a safety issue. There also updating the triggers to the latest trigger which is better than what was in there. Good on Henry for doing this I know there were alot of issues with the triggers. I will be for sure sending mine in.

Re: Recall Notice
I just got that myself. I hate to send mine back after changing out the springs in my .45/70 and .44 mag. Not to mention the time and ammo I used up sighting them in. I'll have to think on it a might.

Re: Recall Notice
It'd be nice if they could just send us the new innards and let us do the work. But I reckon that would void warranty and leave them liable.
Dang it.
