Kobe Bryant
Whether a fan of the sport or not, what a tragic loss of Kobe Bryant today.
He is a basketball legend. May he RIP.
Awaiting further reports of the other four lost....very sad.

Same way we lost Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Re: Kobe Bryant
Hey All,
And Davey Allison at Daytona.
Those deaths aside and while Kobe was never a favorite of mine I freely admit he was easily one of the half dozen greatest players to ever touch a basketball. The loss of a Kobe Bryant is both shocking an sad but there were other souls on that helicopter that died including his 13 year old daughter. Kobe at least had his time in the sun but his daughter's was just starting. Imagine how this strikes his wife and other daughters. RIP to everyone who was on that helicopter.

Almost like Dale Earnhart was to the world of racing. Whether one liked him or not, still an icon in sports.

Re: Kobe Bryant
He and his daughter had just flown in a couple of weeks ago to watch a nearby (10 mi. from my town) HS girl basketball star play.
