Want to have the Receiver Cover of my H001 Color Casehardened; but no idea where/whom to send it to.
Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

Welcome to the forum from CT, Benchloader. As far as I know, the receiver covers on H001 rifles aren't a candidate for CCH treatment. They can be stripped and painted, though, which several members have done with great success.

Welcome to the forum. The H001 receiver cover is made of zamac and can not be case hardened.

Yep - it would wind up a melted blob in the bottom of the case hardening container!The H001 receiver cover is made of zamac and can not be case hardened.

Thanks much for your input. It's possible but more expensive than I thought; reckon my rifle will stay as it is, for now.
