The Dogwoods are always the first to change color around here and that is happening.
I agree with Dave though!

Fall here means Deer season. :D I'll need to get my Henry limbered up in a month or so. Check zero, etc. ;)

Yeah, I'm ready. Tired of summer heat and humidity. I've actually ridden my cycle at below 0 temps. A hard core rider.

Like Dave said I like fall if it would just stay fall till spring is due. But it leads to winter and I hate winter anymore.

At least I no longer have to be at work by 4:30 to plow, (on a open tractor, not a heated truck, one of the best inventions ever is those chemical toe warmers) shovel and de-ice/sand when it snowed. We're pretty used to snow around here, in the 35 years I worked for the school district we never had a snow day.

September and October are my favorite months here in the PNW. We don’t get a lot of snow luckily, but I’m not a fan of winter. I agree 100% on the “spring, summer, fall, repeat” order of business. Maybe if we all lobby our politicians we can get winter outlawed?

Oh yeah!! Temps are dropping from sizzling to just hot, early mornings are great though.
Don't know why after 50 yrs here still haven't got used to the heat, hate it more as the years go by, maybe once I retire I'll move up north in the state where temps are more reasonable.

My wife and I once visited her sister, who is living in Mesa, AZ. That spring set a record-high temp of +115* --- even taking a swim was done in the early AM! I've heard that the Flagstaff area is more pleasant to live in.

Yeah, Tunnug, I agree with you on having a dislike of hot temps. No matter what state I've lived in, I always look to the north for a cooler spot! :*)

Definitely notice it here. Air smells different. Pastures have changed. Brand inspectors are busy. Lots of stock trailers and cowboys on the move. Fall works getting into full swing.
