A little unplanned upgrade this morning. Site is working ok it seems.
Quick range trip with BBSC 357/Skinner peep
Quick range trip with BBSC 357/Skinner peep
I got out to the range today for my second session with my new Skinner Express/patridge sights. Last time after adjusting the new sights I was still hitting slightly left of POA. So today I moved the rear peep slightly to the right and took off for the range. It looks like that adjustment did the trick. Out of 15 shots, all but one are in line with the 10 ring at 25 yards. The elevation, on the other hand, needs some work. I believe that’s the operator and not the sights.
I seem to have a tougher time with that than windage. I think some of that was me jerking the trigger. Oh, well. That gives me a goal for the next trip. I love to see progress! Fun times!

It is fun, isn't it? You make an adjustment, shoot, and figure the results. Then, do it again. I really like learning my rifle. Good work, keep it up.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

deano, I know what you mean. I had the same thing going on the other day, except mine were at the 5 o'clock position from bull. Even when I raised the rear sight, I just couldn't see the target well enough to correct. I need to get improved sights on my .45 Colt. Thinking Skinner's, but, might try my 1-3 Weaver only to see exactly where my loads are hitting. Then to improved irons.

Takes some getting use to with those peep sights. At least it did for me. But once you get it they work good I think. Nice to see your progress
