Leather stock pad for Big Boy Brass

Post by Kitch » Fri Mar 29, 2019 8:47 am

I’d like to buy one of those leather butt / stock pads for my big boy brass 45 LC. I’ve seen pics of them but don’t know where to buy . Anyone have any ideas ?

There is a bunch of places that sell them in different price ranges. Henry sells one at there website. I bought mine at Longhorn Leather in Arizona.

This is one I found on Amazon a long time ago. Never bought one, but it seems pretty nicely made, leather, comes in different sizes and tells you how to measure for it, has some good reviews and lots of Q&A. And, best of all, it's 25 bucks!

May or may not be what you had in mind, but worth a look, IMO.

Diamond D. I can vouch for the quality of their leather goods. https://www.diamonddcustomleather.com/p ... -butt-cuff

Not sure if you're just looking for a butt cuff or a full leather pad and cuff.

I think he's after an add-on PAD, but they make cuff/pad combos, too, with and without ammo holders, cheek risers, etc. It's all out there.

Kinda sounded like it. Either way, this is one of those things that you get what you pay for. Good ones ain't cheap. :)

Yeah, that $25 Amazon thing is about as cheap as it gets, but if all you need is the pad, it might be worth a shot (pun intended).

Is your rifle scoped, or planning to scope it? If so, you might want to think about a built in cheek riser on your cuff part. This would necessitate a custom cuff/ butt pad of course, and add a few $$ to the price.

Yep, RickLoweCustomLeather is some tasty looking stuff. TractorTad led me to a nice wrap with a cheek riser. Of course, you can add a little pouch and some cartridge holders, etc., for not a lot more money.

Thinking I'll do one with a cheek riser for the 223SS. Good looking stuff!
