Clearance/ tolerance variations in BBS rifles

Y'all know I have a nearly new .41 mag bbsc. The action (lever/bolt) has felt a little gritty and hanging up more than I thought it should since I bought it. So yesterday I was in my LGS and they had a .44 and a .357 on the rack and I decided to check the action on them as compared to mine. Neither had the same level of gritty/hangup when working the action. And before anyone asks, yes I properly lube mine. So it seems I should do some selective polishing in certain areas on the lever, bolt, and hammer to slick it up some. I'm reasonably competent when it comes to this kind of thing, so don't plan on bothering Henry CS about what is a minor irritation. Just thought y'all might be interested in this rather common issue between mass produced individual firearms.

mine was a little gritty as well when I first brought it home. very fine metal grit left over from the machining of the parts.

I got one the first 41's to be released, mine was smooth as butter right out of the box.
