That is really a beautiful deer you're drawing, Ozarkwoodswalker. I think the evaluation of my drawing skills (from many years ago) still stands. I simply cannot draw a straight line crooked. And that isn't a joke!
You reminded me of a thread I posted in September showing a deer painting my daughter gave me last year. I noticed you joined the HRF on November 1st, so maybe you've never seen that story. Here it is; hope you might enjoy it.

Very much looking forward to seeing your deer drawing when completed. Do you plan to frame it, and have a special wall spot picked out? If I could create something that nice-looking, I sure would have it displayed in a prominent location. Thanks for your post.

Re: Like to draw
The horns are(or will be when I finish drawing them) from a photo of a buck my son's boy shot last year during youth season when my son took him hunting . So most likely when I finish I will get it framed and give it to them.

Re: Like to draw
Very good work. I used to draw cartoons to entertain the wife and kids back when... But have lost the knack. Our middle daughter has a gift. She can draw and paint, and won a regional art show during her senior year. In her 30s now, she still pursues various outlets.
Your family will be thrilled to get your gift I 'm sure.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
