I just today bought a Big Boy Carbine in .44 mag and thought this would be a great place to learn about my new carbine. Years ago I owned a Marlin 1894P, 16" ported barrel in .44 mag. and in an out of mind moment traded it in. I really missed that Marlin and since then I've been looking for another without any luck. With the poor reputation of the new Remington/Marlin rifles, I didn't want one of those. When I saw that Henry was making a carbine version of their Big Boy rifle it seemed like a very good option. After looking the gun over I feel I made a very good choice.
Well anyway, hello from Pennsylvania and I hope to get to know a few of you better.

Welcome from Colorado. The carbine version of the pistol calibers is definitely my favorite. I really like the way they handle. I have one in Ranchroper caliber.

Welcome from the Shenandoah Valley, VA. You made a good choice in a Henry 44Mag - I think they are made just as well as the older Marlins....
